     FREE educational software.  Letter Sounds - 'S' Blends teaches children how combine letters and the sounds they represent to make words. Children choose an 's' and the next letter that blend to form the sounds at the beginning of the word.  The program says the word to make sure the correct word is associated with the picture shown, and to reinforce the correct sound produced by the combined letters.  The child hears the word, spells it out and sees a picture representing the word, to make sure they are learned together.
